1. Use License
Permission is granted to temporarily use the services provided by NanoURL for personal or commercial link management. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license, you may not:
- Modify or copy the materials or source code of NanoURL.
- Use the service for any illegal purposes or to shorten links leading to malicious content (malware, phishing, etc.).
- Use our generated QR code assets to distribute or mask malicious, illegal, or prohibited content.
- Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on NanoURL's website.
- Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials.
2. Accounts and Custom Links
We collect your Email Address (either directly or via third-party providers like Google) for account creation. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.
Custom Slugs: NanoURL retains ownership of all shortened URLs and custom link aliases generated on our platform. You do not hold intellectual property rights to the custom slugs you create. We reserve the right to reclaim, alter, or delete custom slugs in cases of trademark disputes, inactivity, or policy violations.
Free Service: NanoURL is free to use and supported by advertising (see Section 9). No purchase is required to use the core service, and we do not collect or store payment card details. If we introduce optional paid features in the future (see Section 10), payments will be handled by third-party payment providers and we will update these Terms accordingly. You acknowledge that you may receive additional information, such as product updates or service notices, related to your account.
3. Acceptable Use Policy & Prohibited Content
NanoURL has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse. You agree that you will not create, generate, or distribute short URLs, QR codes, or aliases that point to, promote, or facilitate:
- Phishing, spoofing, or social engineering schemes.
- Malware, viruses, spyware, or ransomware distribution.
- CSAM, violent, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful content.
- Unsolicited commercial email (spam) or automated scraping.
- Spam, scams, fraudulent activities, hate speech, or illegal substances.
- Adult content or violence.
We reserve the right to disable any link, revoke any QR code, or terminate any account that violates these terms without prior notice.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
The services on NanoURL are provided strictly "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NanoURL disclaims all warranties, including, without limitation, any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, reliability, uninterrupted or error-free access, and data retention. You use the service entirely at your own discretion and risk.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages, or for any loss of revenue, profits, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF ZERO DOLLARS ($0.00) OR THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS.
6. Right to Terminate, Modify, or Delete
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, disable, or delete any generated short URL, alias, or user account at any time, for any reason or no reason, without prior notice or liability.This includes, without limitation, links purged during routine database maintenance, links removed to remain within storage or cost limits, inactive or expired links, and links subject to trademark disputes. Such actions do not constitute a breach of these Terms.
7. Third-Party Content & External Destinations
Our service functions purely as a pass-through conduit. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, practices, or legality of any third-party websites accessed via our redirect service. Users access third-party destinations entirely at their own risk.
8. User Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and legal expenses arising out of or related to your use of the service, the URLs you submit, or your violation of these Terms.
9. Advertising & Monetization Disclosure
The service is supported by advertising. You acknowledge and agree that we reserve the right to display third-party advertisements, affiliate links, or promotional notices across the platform without compensation to you.
10. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We are continually developing NanoURL. We reserve the right to add, change, suspend, or remove features, and to introduce new or optional paid services, at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date and, where required, we will provide additional notice. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Any paid features, if introduced, will be optional and governed by the pricing and terms presented at the time of purchase. Nothing in these Terms obligates us to keep any feature available for free indefinitely, though we will honor any specific commitment we expressly make to you in writing.
11. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that State.
